Geopointe Pricing

Geopointe supports any Salesforce license type (CRM, Platform, etc) and runs on every Edition that allows for AppExchange installs. When subscribing to Geopointe, users must subscribe to the “core” offering. Additionally, an Analytics add-on feature is available for an additional fee.

Geopointe Core Pricing

You can license any number of users for Geopointe.  This can be as few as 1 user and as many as all the users in your Salesforce system. You will have a screen in Salesforce that lets you provision which Salesforce users take a Geopointe license.

Geopointe supports MapQuest or Google as the mapping provider.  Below is the pricing breakdown based upon user count and mapping provider.  All pricing is a per user cost.

Can I license a subset of my Geopointe users?
Yes, you can license any of your Geopointe users for the Analytics add-on.

Can I mix users across Tiers?
Yes, users are individually allocated to Tiers. Your subscription will designate how many licenses you are allowed per Tier and you can move your users around.

Can you explain the data limits some more?
The data limits are referring to the amount of data that can be pushed by a user to the Analytics platform.

For example, a Tier 1 user is limited to 5,000 records. If the user tries to push all Accounts and there are 7,000 accounts total, the first 5,000 will be sent to Analytics. To work within limits, users have the ability to configure their Data Sets with filters (e.g. filter for just “active” accounts) to reduce the size. If filtering is not enough, a user can set the Data Set ordering. For example, suppose Accounts are ranked 1 through 5. The Order By setting on the Data Set could order by the Ranking field. Thus, the top 5,000 Accounts would come first within the 7,000 records for mapping. As a last resort, that user can move up a tier to a higher limit.

Can you explain org-wide data sets?
By default, a user’s Analytics data sets are their own. Each user refreshes their own data when they want to. However, Admins can give users permission to sync “org-wide” data sets to Analytics. This means that a single user can do the data pushing and all the other users can access that data. There are a few important things to remember with org-wide data sets:

  • The data limit for org-wide sets is that of the lowest tier you have subscribed
  • Data is pushed using the running user’s data visibility settings. If a user pushes an org-wide set of data, all other Analytics users will see that data in Analytics regardless of the Salesforce security settings. This is because the data is being pushed outside of Salesforce to SpatialKey. Once in SpatialKey, a user’s Salesforce settings do not apply.
