Installing

Installing Geopointe is simple and works like any other application you’ve installed from AppExchange.  After completing the install, be sure to learn about the post-installation steps.

Start Install

The install is started from the AppExchange Listing.  At the listing, click the Get It Now button to get the process started.

Answer Install Questions

Answer the questions asked and, most importantly, tell Salesforce whether you are installing to a Production or Sandbox system.

Sign in using your Salesforce credentials.

Agree to Terms & Confirm the Installation

You will be shown a confirmation page about what you are installing and where you plan to install it.  You will also be given a link to the Geopointe terms of service.  Confirm what you see, check the box to agree to the terms and click Install.
You will be asked to enter your password again.  Do that and click Submit.

Package Details

Review the package details and click Continue.

Remote Sites

Geopointe communicates with several external web services.  The permissions to make those communications are packaged in the application.  You must confirm those settings to continue with the installation.

Approve Package API Access

You will arrive at a page that shows a bunch of check boxes next to your Salesforce objects.  There is nothing to do at this page, so click Next.

Set Access Levels

(does not apply to Group or Professional Edition)

This is an important step! Be sure to apply one of the Geopointe Access Levels to all your Profiles. This will automatically setup those profiles with access to the objects and Visualforce Pages. Click Next when finished.

Finish Install

Click Install to finish the install process.

After a couple minutes, you should receive a message that you will get an email notification when the process completes.

Post Installation Steps

After receiving the email that the installation was successfully completed, go complete the post-installation steps.
